The short version

TopBurb provides suburb-level property data and analysis. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own investment decisions. We try to make our data accurate but we don’t guarantee it. Don’t republish our reports without permission. Be reasonable and everyone wins.

1. What TopBurb is

TopBurb is a data product. We aggregate, clean, score, and present property market data for Australian residential suburbs. We publish this as monthly reports distributed through Stan.store and via email.

2. Not financial advice

TopBurb does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We are not a licensed financial adviser, financial planner, real estate agent, buyer’s agent, tax agent, or legal practitioner.

The information in our reports is general in nature. It doesn’t consider your personal financial situation, goals, or risk tolerance. Before making any property investment decision, you should:

  • Consult a licensed financial adviser
  • Consult a qualified tax professional
  • Conduct your own independent research
  • Inspect any property in person before purchase
  • Obtain independent valuations and building inspections

We accept no responsibility for investment decisions made using our reports.

3. Data accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure our data is accurate and current, but:

  • Data provided by third parties (CoreLogic, SQM Research, ABS, etc.) may contain errors
  • Property markets move — data can be outdated by the time you act on it
  • Metrics are estimates derived from sample data and may not reflect specific properties
  • Historical performance is not a reliable indicator of future returns

We don’t guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information in our reports.

4. Permitted use

When you buy a TopBurb report, you may:

  • Use the data for your personal investment research and decision-making
  • Share insights from the report in informal conversations
  • Reference the report in your own analysis with appropriate attribution

You may not:

  • Republish, resell, or redistribute the reports in full or in substantial part
  • Use the reports as source data for a competing product
  • Strip TopBurb attribution or alter the reports
  • Use the data to train AI or machine-learning systems without our written permission
  • Use the reports for any purpose that would violate CoreLogic or SQM Research’s data licensing terms

5. Payment and refunds

Reports are sold via Stan.store. Payment terms and processing are handled by Stan.store and their payment processors.

Refund policy

Because TopBurb reports are digital products delivered immediately, we generally don’t offer refunds. However, we will refund your purchase in good faith if:

  • The report was materially inaccurate or incomplete
  • You did not receive the report due to a technical issue on our end
  • You changed your mind within 7 days of purchase and have not downloaded the files

6. Subscriptions

Monthly subscription reports auto-renew on the anniversary of your purchase. You can cancel anytime via your Stan.store account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, TopBurb and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from:

  • Use of or reliance on our reports or website
  • Investment decisions made using our data
  • Errors or omissions in the data
  • Service interruptions or data loss

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

8. Intellectual property

All TopBurb content — including the TopBurb Score methodology, report design, trademarks, and written analysis — is the intellectual property of TopBurb unless otherwise noted. Underlying data is licensed from our sources.

The TopBurb name and logo are unregistered trademarks (registration pending with IP Australia).

9. Changes to the service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of TopBurb at any time. We’ll give reasonable notice for material changes affecting paid subscribers.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers via email. Continued use of TopBurb after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Western Australia.
