The short version
TopBurb collects the minimum personal information needed to deliver reports and run the business. We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We use industry-standard security. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Who we are
TopBurb is operated as a sole trader business based in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. This policy is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Name and email — when you subscribe or purchase a report via Stan.store
- Payment information — handled by Stan.store and their payment processors (Stripe). We don’t see or store your card details.
- Communications — any email you send us is retained to provide support
Information we collect automatically
- Analytics data — page visits, referral sources, device type. We use privacy-respecting analytics (currently Plausible Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track individuals across sites).
- Server logs — IP address, user agent, pages requested. Retained for security and troubleshooting for up to 30 days.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t use advertising cookies
- We don’t embed Facebook Pixel or Google Ads tracking
- We don’t fingerprint devices
- We don’t share visitor data with data brokers
How we use your information
- Deliver the reports you purchase
- Send you monthly report updates if you subscribe
- Respond to support enquiries
- Improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, fraud prevention)
How we share your information
We share your information only with:
- Stan.store — our ecommerce platform, which handles payments and order processing
- Email service providers — to send you the reports and monthly updates
- Government authorities — when legally required (tax, law enforcement warrants)
We do not sell your data, trade it, or use it for targeted advertising.
How we protect your information
- HTTPS encryption on all pages
- Regular security updates on all infrastructure
- Access controls on any system containing customer data
- Data stored in Australian or compliant jurisdictions
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you can:
- Access your personal information we hold
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Object to any processing you find unreasonable

Data retention
- Active customers — we retain your data while your subscription is active
- Inactive customers — data retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance, then deleted
- Support correspondence — retained for 2 years unless you request deletion earlier
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g. session state)
- Analytics cookies — none (Plausible Analytics is cookieless)
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
International users
TopBurb services are primarily for Australian users. If you access the site from outside Australia, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and stored in Australia.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and via email to active subscribers. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
